Anchor Industries Ltd., the founding company of Timberline Safety Wear, was opened in November 1961 under the name Timberlake Supplies Ltd. Four years later the company name was changed to Anchor Industries Ltd. In 1970, Anchor moved to 681 2nd Ave. in Prince George, BC to facilitate the expansion of their equipment division. Anchor Industries divided in 1971 and established Anchor Distributors to deal specifically with clothing and footwear.

Anchor Distributors changed it's name to Timberline Safety Wear with the move to 625 2nd Ave.

On March 31st. 2005 Anchor Ind. closed it's doors and after 25 years at it's 2nd Ave. location Timberline Safety Wear moved to it's current location at 1090 Victoria St.
